If only weekends can be Friday, Saturday and Sunday...

7.15pm, Tuesday, 29/09/2009, Hot

It is another week with loads of assignments to research on and books to read.

Though I am feeling exhausted of the tight schedule, yet it is better than having nothing to do and keep thinking about negative stuff which we might eventually dwell into.

Kai Boon Belated Birthday Celebration @ Holland Village Thai Express

The previous time I had meal @ Thai Express was one year ago with one of my army friend, who dislike to be name (anonymous) called Y.C whom we seldom chat or met.

Though we were expecting Xiu Ling and Xian Hui to be around, yet due to their commitment of their assignments and exam, thus they were not present for the event.

Albert and I together with the Birthday girl, Kai Boon met up for simple, yet meaningful meal for the night @ Thai Express.

Albert ordered the Woon Sen Tom Yum Kang (Crayfish red Tom Yum glass noodles).

Kai Boon ordered the Pad Si Ew Talay (Thai stir-fried Seafood Kway Teow).

I ordered the Poo Nim Phat Phrik Thai Dam (Black Pepper Soft-shell Crab Rice).

As for side dish, we ordered the Kung Ka Bwang (Crispy Pancakes).

Mango Freeze

On the way to Holland Village, I had in mind to give a little surprise for our birthday girl.

Thus I decided to get a mini green tea cake from Bread Talk for Kai Boon, wishing her all the best in everything she does.

First, I met up with Selene, Jian Ci and Adelene @ Jurong Point. However, as we are meeting Augustine @ Chinese Garden MRT for supper thus we waited for him near the station to drive us to East Coast for supper.

We ordered lots of food including satay, fried prawn noodles, char kar tiao, chicken wings and sugarcane drink to bring it a perfect match.

We hang around @ East Coast for more than 2 hours before heading down Changi Village Market for desserts. We ordered the Ice Xue Lang, Ice jelly and Hong Cha Longan.

Discovery?!

1.06pm, Saturday, 19.09.2009, Raining

Despite the fact that this is a long weekend, yet currently, I had to spend the next couple of days on my organisational psychology assignment. I do hope that I will be able to finish the assignment as soon as possible most probably tonight.

In order for me to enjoy the next few days with sufficient rest I had to burn midnight oil to enjoy the fruit of success.

On Friday (11th September 2009)@ Yes933 voice audition
I always like singing and DJ-ing and if there is chance to prove myself and participate in such audition, I will give it a try to test my boldness and to be part of the audition and provided I had the time as I always hated office job but because of factors I can't change, I had to take it or leave it.

The previous voice audition I went for was one year ago - the Xing Guang Da Dao - season 3 audition. One of my best buddies, BJ was there to support me, though those I was not selected to be in the top few, but I just enjoy the process as it is really a test of patience and boldness.

Last Friday, I had gone to MediaCorp for Yes933 SHA(Singapore Hits Awards) voice audition after work, as there is this chance of those who was selected in the voice audition will have the chance to sing the theme song onstage with artistes at Singapore Indoor Stadium, thus I just wanna give it a try.

I was really thankful for Yes933 for having this video footage of some of the particants during the voice audition, I was pleased to have a few seconds of myself singing the theme song.

For more information of Singapore Hits Awards and the video footage of me in the audition, check out @ http://www.singaporehitawards.sg/

@ Work
Sometime I do hope that I will not have to work as working life is such a complex environment, a minute, you can be smiling with that person, and a minute later, both of you are looking at each other with such ferocious physical appearance.

I began to realise the fact that some teachers had told me in the past, study life is still the best time ever, once this years of education had completed, you will definitely miss the greatest memories that you and your classmates shared.

I certainly agree with this sentence that I had stated as I feel that earning money and working for other is a pain and the environment which you will be tiresome as you need to interact with people to ensure interpersonal relationship is well-maintained at the same time, you have to be productivity and effective in delivering your work.

I began to dislike the usual 8 to 5 working environment or even sitting in front of the computer for hours to produce your work.

Well maybe I just hate to be bounded with work at the office at least one third of the day.

I love the sun and the beach.

David Birthday Celebration @ Holland Village Swensen
Kelly and I had planned to meet David for a meal to celebrate his birthday. I was late. Due to overtime at work and the heavy traffic which I had no solution why the stretch of Bukit Timah Road is always jammed during am and pm peak hours, can’t the authorities do something to it?

Well, Kelly and David had settled down at the restaurant waiting for my arrival. Browsing from the menu, Kelly ordered the Beef Pasta, Breaded Chicken and Beef Lagsana and two side dishes, the rodeo wings and the fried mushrooms as well as Swensen signature ice cream, the regular earthquake.

Below are some of the pictures that I had taken during the meal.
Kelly and I had shared some ideas of the gifts for David.

Coco Lee – East West Album

First Hits – BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag)

Coco Lee is one of the female singers who had successfully entered the US music industry with her songs. Recently, she was invited by National Geographic channel to sing a theme song for World Earth Day. Though, she had been keeping a low profit of herself and her singing career because of her plans of marriage with her boyfriend, yet her comeback to the entertainment buzz is the right choice.

In her latest album, East West, Coco first hits, BYOB had her desire to spread the message across her music to encourage people to Bring Your Own Bag while shopping or doing marketing at the supermarket. This is true as Coco desire everyone to start save the earth by begins with self to start with changing our style of living and usual habits.

The lyrics and rhythm of the songs is catchy which ease the message brought across to her fans and those who care for the earth.

School Term Holiday Ended

4.36pm, 12/12/2009, Saturday, Sunny
Picture featuring Xiu Ling, Me and our dear birthday girl, Kai Boon!

Happy Birthday, kai Boon!
Best Wishes from Me, Albert, Xiu Ling and Xian Hui, May all wishes come true!
13th September 2009 (Happy Birthday, Boon!)

At this moment, I am @ SIM Library after my dental appointment this morning and working out at the gym.

@ School
I just a new term on Monday, the course I am taking this semester is organisational psychology and it was one of the modules which one of my classmates discussed and opt for this module just hoping we are able to be in the same class, but sadly, we were separated and placed at different class. It was pleased to see her outside class during our tea break.

As for Thursday class, I will be attending the class at night later, I opt for a resit for this paper as I was really disappointed with my grades, and thus I had chosen to resit the paper hopefully to achieve better grades.

There is an assignment on hand which I hope I can start my research on by the end of the week.

Wednesday (09/09/2009)
Finally I managed to meet up with my ex-colleagues and friends for dinner @ Jurong Point. I am still keeping in contact with them though it was heartbreaking to be sharing the sorrow memories with this group of ex-colleagues.

Well, the conversation that we had @ Sunset Way and Jurong Point, I shall not elaborate our conversation as I just want to protect my friend who is still working at the company and also the parties involved.

I just wish everyone all the best in our future plan ahead.

May we be strong to all face all odds as we deserve the best!

Over the weekend (Last Saturday)
I spent my Saturday to do self-study @ school as new term is commencing soon and in order to ensure I am able to understand my textbooks and came prepared for class. I had planned to do my own self-study.

Yet just as I thought this weekend will simply be me and my textbooks accompanying me for the rest of the weekend. Wei Keong gave me a call to join Jun Yuan, Kah Leng for dinner, and without hesitation, I agree to meet up for dinner with the group.

@ Upper Bukit Timah
Wei Keong, Jun Yuan, Kah Leng and I went to this Chinese restaurant which I forgot the name, but it is located opposite Beauty World Shopping Centre and it is next to a Korean BBQ restaurant.

We ordered a couple of dishes which I like to recommend to my regular viewers and friends.

We enjoyed the cereal Fried Tofu. The tofu is crispy on the outside and it is not oily on the inside of the tofu.

The Fried Chicken Wing is also a must-try as the meat is really tender.

The butter-prawn is reasonable tasty and fresh but it can be found at other restaurant so it did not impress me overall.

The stir fried vegetable is a must to balance and maintain a healthy diet.

Desserts after Meal @ Holland Village, Haagen Dazs

We actually wanted to have desserts instead of ice cream yet the nearest desserts stores were closed by the time we drove down, thus we decided to head down to Holland Village instead for ice cream.

Haagen Dazs was the choice.

Haagen Dazs @ Holland Village had brought back lots of memories that me and another friend of mine shared. We used to come here once a month as both of us simply loved sweet stuff and desserts. Thus, whenever possible, we will create own ice cream which her favourite is cookies and cream and the chocolate.

Kah Leng and I created our own ice cream, 3 spoons with Summer berries, Belgian Chocolate, and Rum and raisin with almond dry toppings and cameral sauce.

Pictures taken @ different angles!

Wei Keong ordered the cookies and cream, chocolate favours mixed as for Jun Yuan, he ordered a drink.

Though times flies, yet the memories that me and the friends shared will always be the best memories during my poly days.

Music Review
張惠妹(阿密特)-相愛後動物感傷MV

AMIT is Ah Mei new icon, I simply love her new song 相愛後動物感傷 as it is describe how an animal feel left out after her owner had found her love.

The MV was amazing as the content is R21, if you don't believe it,
Click on the below link to check it out.

As before I was aware of the MV content, AMIT (Ah Mei) new songs MVs especially 相愛後動物感傷 was banned on Taiwan MTV channels which I was pretty annoyed.I certainly feel that the censorship board should reconsider as music is still the selling point instead of the nudity content.

Though the MV is not allowed to be played on MTV channel, but this is a song which I would like to recommend to all listeners and bloggers.

Monday bruise or Monday blues?!

7.19pm, 02/09/2009, Wednesday, Hot
Certainly when you reached the age whereby you have say goodbye to school life and begin your work life, you might be excited and looking forward to the school life that you always hated. Yet, when you are at the situation whereby you begin your work life, you will realised the “pure”, carefree school life, you and your friends enjoyed during school life and the most hated homework and lessons are things in life which you will deeply missed.

I begin this week post by stating this fact is because not because I had a hard time at work but I simply do not understand some people and the ways their style of doing things which are foolish and childish. Workplace let me have the chance to meet different kinds of humans who you will never understanding the things they do and the aim of them doing certain things in order to achieve their motive.

Don’t worry for me, from the first day when I started working, I was told about this from my ex-employer, Auntie Connie.

She was my first boss when I started work in a bookstore which was many years back. I was lucky to be under supervision, as she taught and given me lots of chance to perform and realise my abilities.

Today, times had changed.

Many fond memories at Ghim Moh Secondary which my beloved friends shared are often becoming the coffee talks and topics of interest which we will remember and spent time to dig them out to life.

Sunday (30/08/2009) @Sakae Sushi
Xian Hui, Xiu Ling and I met up @ Tiong Bahru for lunch. It was an unplanned meal with the girls. It was informed the day before however; Kai Boon and Albert were unable to come down due to their own commitments.

I guess able to spend time to updates with friends about recent life happenings is a great thing to do in a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Music Review - David Tao Opus 69 album
A short intro of David Tao - Opus 69 album
After his "123 We Are All Wooden Men" world tour, Taiwan's "Music Godfather" David Tao comes back with his new album in three years titled Opus 69. The number in the title references a number of things, among which is that it's the singer-songwriter's 6th album and 9th CD. Besides, David was born in the summer of '69, and the symbol of his zodiac sign, Cancer, resembles "69".
Moreover, in the ancient text of I-Ching, 6 and 9 symbolize "change" and "rebirth", and the numbers when pronounced in Japanese are similar to "rock", which is what this highly anticipated album is about! David puts aside his famous R&B style to return to his musical roots in rock music for this band sound-oriented album, which comes with new songs like "Your Song", "Zero to Hero", "Adoration", and "RE.DT".

His last album was released 3 years ago, Too Beautiful. This album has a collection of 14 tracks which a mix of fast, love songs etc. His first Hit 火鳥功 (Huo Niao Gong) the artiste himself wanted to bring out his self and attitude to life whereby we should be having this inner spirits that keep us going if we are put down with negative comments. The impression got deeper if the track is repeated in your player yet you might get irritated with the style of presentation by David Tao if you are certainly not a fan of his songs.

The 2nd hits I would like to recommend is radio-friendlier and I guess, most listeners will choose from the album as this is a loved songs which will touch the hearts of many people.

The lyrics of the song, Secret Love (暗戀):

Songs recommended from the album:
Track 5: 火鳥功 (Huo Niao Gong)
Track 3: 暗戀 (Secret Love)
Track 6: 雪豹 (Snow Leopard)
Track 13: 你的歌 (Your Song)
Rating 3.9 out of 5
