@ Evertop Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice
Location: Block 354, Clementi Ave 2, #01-259
Time: 7pm-8pm
People Involved: Me (Jeff) N Colin

According to Colin, Evertop Chicken Rice was previously located @ Old Tanglin Halt Food Centre. Shifted to this new location, this is one of the recommended chicken rice stores which I will give a thumb up for its tender boneless steam halal chicken.

The Rice is not oily.
The aroma and the texture of the rice blend in perfectly with chili or the dark soya sauce or the garlic.

Chicken Intestines
It was my first time trying this stuff, well, I just simply skip this chewy dish.

Steam Boneless Chicken
The meat is tender, the sliced cucumber and light soy sauce enhanced the taste.

Music Review
Cyndi Wang - Xin Dian Xin

Artiste: Cyndi Wang
Album Name: 心电心 Xin Dian Xin
Release Date: 4th December 2009
Record Label: Gold Typhoon (TW)
Language: Mandarin
Genre: Pop/Ballad
Coming just ahead of the release of Cyndi Wang's first album with Gold Typhoon, last month, her former record company, Avex, released the latest best-of package is no doubt the most comprehensive yet. Beginning with “Begin..”. that marked Cyndi's singing debut in 2003- 2008, the popular Taiwan singer/actress has released 8 albums.

Occupied with both her promotion of her latest album and drama, Momo Love. This drama featuring Cyndi as the only daughter in the family, Momo has been protected like a baby by the family. Momo's youngest brother "Yu Yi", is often the chosen one by the other four elder brothers to wait upon Momo, as the family's sole purpose – to protect the little sister at all cost!

2009 Cyndi’s latest album titled”心电心” (Heart to Heart) contains 10 tracks which include Taiwan drama 桃花小妹 “Momo Love” theme song, What if I Fall in Love With You(喜歡你怎麼辦) and Small Stars (小星星).

Cyndi Wang - Happy Loving
Recommended Tracks:
01. Happy Loving
02. 心電心 (Heart to Heart)
06. 喜歡你怎麼辦 (What if I Fall in Love With You)
08. 很愛 (Strong Love)
10. 小星星 (Small Stars)
Overall Rating: 3.9 out of 5.

One of Cyndi Wang's best albums. The reason is simple, her first album singles, "Happy Loving" is produced by Kylie Minogue producer Michael Jay together with Johnny Jam. Unlike Chinese pop industry with flooded with loads of Chinese music originated from Korea, Japanese or English Pop, her new label which featured artistes such as Ah Mei, ELVA, Show Luo, Ronald Cheng etc was on the right track to use this Electro-Pop single, Happy Loving, as the album hit single.
Well, it is just too hot to resist Cyndi new style of music.

With Mono-Love now showing in Channel U and Taiwan cable TV station, it is not a problem for Gold Typhoon to re-brand Cyndi Wang from the "Girl Next Door" to Sweetie Princess or eyed-candy girl in this gen X with this two love songs 喜歡你怎麼辦 (What if I Fall in Love With You) and 小星星 (Small Stars) which had playing in local radio station.

Music Review:
Dancing Queen- Landy Wen Lan

Landy Wen – Dancing Queen
Release Date: October 30, 2009
Record Label: Seed Music (TW)
Language: Mandarin
Genre: Pop/Ballad
Known as "Taiwan Dancing Queen", Landy Wen has released a brand new album out after her AVCD “High Q” last year. After a brief stint studying singing in New York, the singer cut her hair short and dyed it red for a new sexy retro look. The new album showcases the "3D" that Landy represents, namely "Doll" (referring to her innocent personality), "Diva", and "Dancing Queen".

The 11 tracks on the album include the 80s techno-styled dance number “D.I.S.C.O.”, "Don't Fall in Love with Me" (written by A-yue Chang), "I Believe it All" (written by Kenji Wu), and a cover of Landy's idol, Anita Mui's "Open up Your Mind". The accompanying DVD comes with the music video and dance tutorial video to “D.I.S.C.O.”.

Youtube MV Link:
3.5 out of 5.
Recommended Tracks:
03. D.I.S.C.O.
06. 視而不見 (Turn A Blind Eye To)
08. 放開你的頭腦 (Open Up Your Mind)
10. 刺猬 (Hedgehog)
11.不要愛上我 (Don’t Fall In Love With Me)
Personal opinion:
Though Landy Wen tried hard to differentiate herself from Jolin, who is labelled as the "Dancing Diva", Elva as the "Pop Diva" , Coco Lee known as the "Queen Diva", and Cyndi Wang as the "Sweetie Princess" etc. The single D.I.S.C.O by Landy is originated from a korean hit, Uhm Jung Hwa's D.I.S.C.O. has not truly re-brand Landy into the competitive Chinese pop market.

But her love song, 刺猬 (Hedgehog) and 我全都相信 (I Believe It All) truly outshine her vocal and remix tracks in Dancing Queen album. Overall, this album was not a letdown.
